Born and raised in Spokane, having written extensively about the city during my 12 years as editor-in-chief of Spokane Coeur d’Alene Living, the city lifestyle magazine, and having literally written the book on Spokane (Spokane Stories: 28 Stories of the People, Places and Events That Have Shaped Spokane), I know this city, its neighborhoods, and what makes Spokane such a wonderful place to call home.

I am invested in the Spokane community, not just as a resident and a businesswoman, but also as a volunteer for organizations that have missions in which I believe. I serve on the Women's Business Center Advisory Board with SNAP (Spokane Neighborhood Action Partners), at The Children's Clubhouse at Sacred Heart Medical Center, and for the last seven years, as on-air pledge host for KSPS Public Television. It is important to me to give back to the community in which I live and work.
